So I’m looking for some insight and arguments for both products.<\/p>\n

We currently use 2 Barracuda 690 units, but we are maxed on capacity all the time. Since it’s time for renewals, figured I would look at my options.<\/p>\n

I have narrowed it down to the 2 devices; both companies are showing significant discounts to get my business.<\/p>\n
They both are pretty close to the same price and have a significant increase in storage size.<\/p>\n
So what I’m asking for, anyone use Barracuda & go to Unitrends, or the other way around. What were the pros and cons of those choices, it’s a big buy and I want a good argument before making the call.<\/p>\n
Currently our environment is all static servers, a mix of 2k3, 2k8 old guys ready to be moved out and a couple 2012R2 servers. But in the next 6 months I plan on redoing the entire data center to either VMware or Hyper-V, Anyone have an experience going with either of these products with static servers and then migrating to Virtual?<\/p>\n
Not looking for cloud backup at this time though.<\/p>\n
