Just looking to get users opinions on Barracuda vs Unitrends<\/p>\n

We are looking for a physical backup appliance to back up our entire environment. We have a few virtual hosts and a few physical servers but the majority is virtual.<\/p>\n
Total data size is approx 9TB and we want to back that up to the local device but then also replicate that to the cloud.<\/p>\n
Both solutions appear to do exactly what we want them to do so really looking for user’s opinions of these solutions, preferably those that have used or tested.<\/p>\n
Looking for some info on ongoing costs/price increases/customer support etc.<\/p>\n
I’ve pretty much made up my mind one it is one of these two so literally just need to pick now so not going to be looking at other solutions.<\/p>\n

I like my Barracuda Backup Appliance. And my Barracuda F400 firewalls.<\/p>\n
We went to a backup appliance in 2015. It replaced their Yosemite Server Backup software which served us for a number of years.<\/p>\n
Back on the firewalls, the F100 annoy me for being too small and too slow for current load. We’re almost due for a refresh.<\/p>\n
As we like to build on prior knowledge, and continuity with vendors that work for and with us, Barracuda was our first stop.<\/p>\n
Personally, I have dealt with the tech support on all three products for years, and I like it a lot. It is actually the standard to which I hold all my other vendors, such as VMWare (who is in recovery.)<\/p>\n
I can’t offer an opinion on Unitrends. Never have looked at them.
