I like to support the site by clicking on ads. It would be nice if they opened in a new tab so I don’t lose track of where I was here.

@GeorgeSVFC Are there specific Ad locations that aren’t opening in a new tab for you? The ones I just checked all opened in a new tab for me

It’s been all the ads for me. I think a top-of-page one was what prompted my request. This is on desktop Chrome. Thanks!

It’s likely a browser setting, but if you want to open any link, ad or otherwise in a new tab, middle-mouse click it.

Yes, I know I can do that. And I’ve designed enough websites to know that there is most often a setting on the site side to make it work automatically all the time (WordPress, Drupal, SquareSpace, and Weebly all offer it). I am not so certain about ads, thus the question.

There is a setting in your preferences to open external URLs in a new tab. I checked your account and you have that checked.

Someone here managed to catch an ad that opened in the same tab, but the next ad did not. It’s possible, that this is an ad issue, rather than a site / browser / user preferences issue.

Thuma Beds, Smith Corona, and Dell have all opened in the same tab this morning, from different spots on the page - top, side & bottom of this very post.
