So I priced a Unitrends license on an estimate about 18 months ago… updated when the client finally wanted to pull the trigger.

When I went to actually license the software, the process for getting a license changed.

I’ve spent the better part of a week trying to get an answer, filling out forms, talking to people, asking what should be a simple question:

“How can I buy a license?”

I gave up. This is ridiculous. I even had a SALES TEAM member say they didn’t really know.

A license for what? An appliance? Software? Cloud Backup, other?

Nothing big. A single socket of the virtual appliance, standard edition.

To give credit though, I got a call from Unitrends less than 15 minutes after this post and actually got a person who seemed to understand exactly what I was asking.

Will update this when I know more.
