Can I save on a key the name and extension to automatically call that person?
Yes. This is why those programmable keys are there.
Are you doing this on a user’s phone from the phone itself? Or your management phone from the phone itself? Or in the management portal? Or in the programming … er … program?
@spiceuser-ibfnk
User phone im a receptionist and want to program them but am unable to find it in the settings.
If you are adding a hotkey for a Mitel extension, the key will reflect the name associated with said extension in the Mitel system.
To program a blank key:
- While on hook press a blank key
- Dial the extension number that you want to program
Done.
To reprogram an existing key:
- While on hook dial 9397
- Press the key you want to reprogram
- Dial the new extension you want to program
Done.
To clear an existing key:
-
While on hook dial 9397
-
Press the key you want to reprogram
-
Press the Hold key to backspace the cursor to delete the extension
-
Tap the speaker key to exit, or wait 10 seconds
Done.

Yep, it’s as simple as pushing the unprogrammed key and programming the value you want to it.
