Many of our users like to have some music playing in the background of their office. A few are streaming local radio stations while others are on Pandora. What music streaming program do you listen to at work? I need some good stations to add to my Pandora channel. Primarily classic rock and newer groups like The Fray, Maroon 5, OneRepublic, etc.

I like to listen to jazzandrain.com. I’ll listen to the Electric Swing when I want to get into a working mood.

Probably outside the genres described above, but I get the most mileage from the following Pandora stations:

RJD2 (downtempo electronic)

Igor Stravinsky (dramatic, modern classical)

Mr. Bungle (gonna be NSFW)

Chicha Libre (chicha and cumbia)

Antonio Carlos Jobim (Brazilian Jazz)

Also, if you have Amazon Prime, there is a ton of music on there you can stream for free.

I only get music when we’re working on a maintenance window, and we haven’t had the chance to do that yet, as we just remembered about a pair of speakers in the storage room at the end of our last maintenance window.

We’ll probably all bring in some CDs. Probably going to bring in some Ramones, Garbage, Johnny Cash, and perhaps a couple of compilation discs as well (as crowd pleasers).

When I was stationed in the Italy, I was on a stay behind crew to paint a barge while my ship was at sea. One of the workers brought in a CD Player and a CD of the Soundtrack for The Little Mermaid. He played that CD over and over again all week. Everyone knew every word to Under The Sea by the end of the week.

A lot of users use Pandora, but I use Spotify and listen to a mix of everything.

it’s better down where it’s wetter

I will have to give that a try.
