Hi,

I’m trying to figure out how I can get individual devices to scan so my software information for that device can update. I have selected the Tool/Rescan but I’m still noticing that everything I have uninstalled on that device is still showing under Software. Now my timeline is showing Applications uninstalled but will not tell me which one’s. I also noticed that My last Scan Time under General Info isn’t showing a any of my recent scans. What steps am I missing or can I so to fix this? Thank you!

click the device in the inventory, click the spanner icon to the right, and click rescan

If this isn’t working as you said and last scan date is a while ago.

Can you ping the device by name and whatever IP returns, ping that -a to make sure it matches the reverse DNS, invalid DNS entries can cause all sorts of issues.

Also check the firewall is allowing ping on the device and file and printer sharing is still enabled

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

Thanks so much! It seems that the IP address in spiceworks was not the same on the machine which was causing the problem. I ran a scan by the IP and all is well and updated in my inventory. Thanks so much for your help.
