Some devices are not scanned since more that 30 days and whatever i do they won’t re-scan, Network scans jumps from 0 to complete scan in about 1 second, we have inventory inconsistencies, reports are not running,

Scan speed = Slow

Scanner sends all data instead of deltas = True

I’ve searched all over the forums and did not find anything to help. I’ve tried almost every steps of troubleshooting that were proposed.

Can anyone help beyond that??

Settings, inventory, device scanning - disable all your scans, restart SW.

Now add a single IP you know is on, and scan it - if this works re-enable the bulk list and scan.

What SW version are you using, what OS and any apps in use?

Just updated to the latest version.

Tried the single IP, Same thing.

Deleted the IP range, recreated it, restarted , still no luck

Does SW see devices but not scan them, or does it find nothing on the range?

Do you or have you recently installed any IDS or IPs on the network/devices?

Can the machines be pinged?

Sees them, does not scan them. Even manually scanning, some are seen offline some are seen online but they haven’t been scanned since May 15th etc …

Nothing new installed on the network recently.

Machines can be pinged, even from spiceworks itself.

Lets try something as I believe you had DNS issues.

ping a machine and note the IP

Now ping -a that IP

Does it match the machine you just pinged?

Can you share a screenshot of a single device where I can see last scanned and last updated time

It just started working … Not sure everything is up and running, i’ll try to keep an eye out. I seriously don’t know what happened there …
