Hello,
I recently bought a cert package from COMPTIA that included two test vouchers and Certmaster. I have read some really bad reviews and wanted to ask fellow Spiceheads what kind of experience they have had. I’m about 70% through the course and I have to ask myself how well prepared I will be for the Security+ exam using Certmaster. I am also using Professor Messor Vids and good old wiki for looking up TCP/IP protocols etc. What have your guys/gals used to help you ace the Security + Exam.
Thanks!

Passed 1st try with cert master. But than again, all compTIA tests were a joke… ‘difficulty’ wise.
But again, yeah the only thing I did to prepare for the Sec+ was going though the certmaster material. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Certmaster and Professor Messer are good resources; I used them both to pass the Security+ recently. I also recommend the practice quizzes/exams on ExamCompass.

I’m glad to hear that what you learned in certmaster helped with the exam. I will also look into the exam compass website.
Thanks for your input!

Not familiar with Certmaster. Security+ was not that difficult in terms of material, but the test did feature a long-drawn out scenario that may or may not have counted but seemed to take a long time. Don’t let that throw you.
Also got asked about checking read-write file permissions attributes from the command line, which was not in my test-prep books, but I knew from experience.
