Sounds you made an upgrade from BETA to BETA. This is not supported.

Please use a fresh install of the BETA and maybe import your production database v5.3. Don`t forget to edit the mail settings then

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

There was a code change going into Beta4 that made Beta3 upgrades get app errors when going to cloud services. Always make sure to pull in non-beta data when testing out new code!

Thanks for the shout out and thanks for helping us with Spiceworks 6!

{"@type":"Person
scott-c-sw
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/scott-c-sw"}},{"@type":"Answer

Please install it over the top again (so the db will be migrated). After that, restart the machine.

{"@type":"Person
bytesnake
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/bytesnake"}},{"@type":"Answer

was the production db that you copied over the one you upgraded beta to beta? if so it will not fix the issue you need to go back to a 5.3 database.

{"@type":"Person
bernardw
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/bernardw"}},{"@type":"Answer

damn something went a bit wrong… it seems that the 5.3 production DB has been copied from the beta db.

i just going to export the tickets. delete both 5.3 and 6.0 instances. Install both instances and import the tickets…

What do we have learned: Always make good backups and store them on the right places… oh and document it, in case someone else want to administer SW.

{"@type":"Person
petrybosch8305
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/petrybosch8305"}},{"@type":"Answer

I did the exact same thing… Unfortunately I had also just deleted a folder from my desktop that I NOW find had my 5.3 DB backed up. Friday has sucked my brain dry.

{"@type":"Person
mikebergeron0947
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/mikebergeron0947"}}]}}
