Weird how things work, for me the day is flying by. I guess its when everything works and you’re doing something that isn’t mind torturing the day goes faster.

Yeah, all I’ve had today is 2 duff printers, someone moaning about their company mobile and a laptop with a virus…down to the laptop now and progress bars on McAfee do not help a day go faster!

08:45 > started upgrade of spiceworks
09:00 > upgrade keeps failing,
09:01 > fresh install, apply backup
10:00 >spiceworks 7 up, spent most of the time chatting to our ceo about hidden spy cams and women.
11:00 > begin ADMT migration from old domain to new domain
12:33 > still migrating & ordered pizza

My day’s flying by, but that could just be because I put in a 13 hour day yesterday…
My day just began, but yesterday was one of those mind-numbingly slow days. Usually, I have plenty to work on, but yesterday there were no tickets for me, and every time I tried to start studying/learning more about Server 2012, I couldn’t keep focus. I ended up installing a Windows 8 VM just for the heck of it (figured I should have one to get somewhat used to it since some of my users have 8 installed), and I straightened things up in the server room. When I’m voluntarily cleaning, the day’s too slow.

I hope not Rachit… after a meeting at 9.30am (where i did get approval to spend some money!!), i’m now stuck writing proposals for new CRM & VOIP systems for a Board meeting in 2 weeks. So far we’ve had no interesting issues & half the office is now out on Liquid Lunch Friday. :-\

Awww…that really sucks
Those are the worst, when you do loads and think it’s meant you’re really busy then look at the clock and manage you’ve done it all in an hour…it’s mildly depressing!

And one day closer to the new job? (I know just what that’s like.)
Last week went really well as I had something specific to do (put in some new storage). I spent the first couple of days this week sorting out some minor glitches, then documenting everything.
Now the seconds are just crawling by. The turbines of tedium go, humdrum, humdrum, humdrum…
