So I’m bored, literally the only issue I had to solve today was “why isn’t my stuff printing out… oh wait there it goes”, reviewed a bunch of things on spiceworks, drank some coffee, drank some water, drank some more coffee, changed a computers wallpaper in MSPaint, sat in a server closet for 5 minutes and stared at a screen… its slow, anyone else having a slow day?

Very slow here - I am wandering around the halls checking in on old tickets that I had closed months ago making certain everything is still working correctly.

Slow here until our shipment of new computers arrive. Hence why I’m wandering around Spiceworks.

Oh yeah I’ve done that as well, asked a few people if their computers were still running fine after I fixed it 3 months ago… man what is up with this wednesday

Me too, slow day today only issue was an outlook signature and take care of the AV, other than that bored day.

Yeah I’ve been scanning my network non-stop with the SW scanner just waiting for it to say “ITS ABOUT TO GET REAL”, nope my average of 20-30 errors/warnings by now is currently at… wait for it… 6… I have a total of 6…

Slow here too, only because my outstanding tickets are all “Customer Pending”. Can’t really do much until they get back to me at some point where they needed it done 15 minutes ago.

Learn the alphabet backwards, that can take a whole day. I’ll start zyxwv…

Oddly enough, it’s the same here. I suspect, though, that that has something to do with the good foot of snow we got last night on top of the foot we got last week and the week before that. My poor rear-wheel drive sports car is getting brutalized. Whatever happened to global warming?

Anyway, you have my sympathies. May I recommend Cracked.com or Ars Technica if you need something to pass the time.

Same here. Fixed some print settings and renamed a folder name to something smaller than a paragraph so excel would open up the file 8 levels deep. Otherwise, just pretty much sitting.

…after reading your posts, I’m predicting a bathroom break, pretty soon.

Actually did that just before I posted.

I thought the exact same thing lmao that’s a lot of water.

We’ve been slower this week than the past few, so i’ve been taking the spare time i have to reorganize our server room. Already looking a TON better

Head this way, I have loads of stuff you can do.

Failing that, maybe now would be a good time to work on some How-To’s:

Can’t listen to music or watch any video’s, management feels they would get ignored by the staff if they can’t talk to us. We had snow here once… now its gone :-\

HA HA HA thanks for the laugh shawn.

It is slow here as well, I’ve been on Spiceworks almost all morning so far. Hopefully I can find something to do after lunch. Bored.

I’m very slow have been all week. I have had a couple printers get goofy driver issues but nothing a quick reload wouldn’t fix.

Ah ha, but Cracked and Ars both play host to nothing more than written articles (humor and tech news, respectively) with only the occasional video. But of course, I wouldn’t want to get you into trouble if those, too, are forbidden. Just figured I’d best clarify.

Cheers!

Exactly everything has been a quick “click, click, fix” this week…

I think I might need to telnet into zork or some other mud so it at least looks like I’m working…

I accidentally deleted a users desktop when performing the backup to rebuild her profile. I chalked it up to she had too much crap anyways. Plus it was 95% already processed and documented elsewhere art. Least it does not have 90 icons to load… these people.

It is slow though, I have time to twiddle my thumbs which is always a treat.
