Credentials to AD server timing out

Trying to configure another districts Spiceworks for them and having a hell of a time getting LDAP/AD set up. I am positive the settings are correct because I am basically using ours as reference and ours works perfectly. Whenever I go to SAVE the AD credentials it times out trying to connect to the AD server. Any thoughts?

Hey mlnancejr410,

Have you tested the connection outside of Spiceworks to see if there’s a timeout to the AD server? I’m wondering if this is specific to Spiceworks or if there are some long response times in general.

Can you ping their DCs?

Can you telnet port 389 on one of the DCS or the secure port if they are using secure LDAP?
