Have you restarted the Spiceworks service as the error message instructs to do?
If so and you receive the same error message, you probably want to collect the log files from Spiceworks and send to support@spiceworks.com
- Open Windows Explorer and Browse to the following directory.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Spiceworks
· Run the spiceworks_package.exe executable file (This program will zip up your log files into a file called spiceworks_package.zip).
After opening a ticket with Support, they will instruct you on where/how to send the log files.
Thanks InkMaster. I had already done that. The response from support@spiceworks.com was that my database was corrupt.
I am to do a backup and send them the backed up file. How do i go about this and i cannot log in?

This is caused usually by too many devices being scanned at once and a backlog builds (over 1000 devices)
Or by old plugins.
Try restarting and go to settings, manage apps disable all, then restart again.
Try this before contacting support

Did you have automatic backups set in Spiceworks?
Check in C:\Program Files (x86)\Spiceworks\backup
There should at least be backups if you have done upgrades recently.

They didn’t tell you how to do this? That is very odd.
I am still waiting for support to respond in the regards to me doing a backup.
