delete inventory and rediscover

What is a good way to deleted the existing inventory so SW will rediscover everything. I’ve been “testing” but now I want to start with a clean initial inventory.

I thought deleting each item and NOT checking the “Exclude this device from future network scans” would do it but since doing that none of those devices have been repopulated in the listed inventory.

I had a simillar issue, I just added them all in manually then about a day later spiceworks picked up the detailed information for each device automatically

Hi Dave, After deleting it, you should set your scan settings to slow and disable the incremental scanning, also on the additional settings, set the “Scanner sends all data instead of deltas” to true.

IbnIT, those setting changes make sense, I should have looked at the setting options first. I am testing those changes and once the inventory runs tonight I will add a reply here with the results.
