I have a Dell PowerEdge 1950 running Windows Server 2012 R2. I tried the recommended Dell OpenManage Server Administrator but its not populating the fans, CPU temp etc… only the storage in the Web GUI.
I’ve tried to install Dell OpenManage Server Administrator v7.4.0.2.
To install this I’m just unzipping the file and then running the setup.exe to install it. May be I’m missing something?
I’ve even tried rebooting the server at no resolve.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions on this.

Does that system have an iDRAC installed? It’s required and there might be a minimum iDRAC version as well for OMSA.
Ahha, thank you. I have not installed the iDRAC software. To confirm, I think you mean Dell OpenManage DRAC Tools, includes Racadm (32bit),v7.4 < https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=hh3xd&oscode=wnet&productcode=poweredge-1950 >. I will give this a shot to see if it works.

No, iDRAC as in integrated or physical card. It was an option on the 1950. The software you linked is for remote management of said cards.
Ah, I’m not sure if the card was installed then. Hmmm… I wonder if there is a good way to tell if the card is installed or not?
I do not have access to the physical system at the moment.

With a system that old I don’t know exactly how to access it. On newer systems, you press F2 during boot and in the system setup there is an option to configure the iDrac. The IP address it’s assigned is also displaying during the normal booting process. Also, in OSMA there is a “Remote Access” section in the “Main System Chassis” area.
