I have a Dell R710, and can remotely access the iDRAC interface. I installed OpenManage on Windows server, enter the ip and my credentials I use to login to idrac website, and it just says “Login Failed… Internal Error”. I’ve tried IE and Firefox. I am running OM 8.2.0.

OpenManage uses Windows credentials not the iDRAC credentials

I am trying to manage my idrac, and it sounds like I need OMF. When I logged into OMSA, there was nothing there. I was hoping to manage my node, view logs, etc.

Several things here we need to know. What OS do you have loaded on the server? Is your iDRAC license a basic, express or enterprise?

What version of iDRAC and Lifecycle controller firmware is the server currently running?

I am running Proxmox, a hypervisor, or debian-based.

No clue… I believe it’s 6/i.

When you log into your iDRAC what are you seeing?

At the top, the tabs, Properties, Setup, Power, Logs…

Side: System, iDRAC Settings, Batteries, Fans…

I guess I don’t really understand what you mean by managing your iDRAC, You use your iDRAC to manage your server You use the iDRAC to log into a server that might not be booting up to gather logs and events. If you have Enterprise license you can see the console to tell what is showing no the monitor/
