When you are setting up new computers and you look down at the clock showing 11:04 am, and you are like, “Heck yea!!! Day is almost half way over!!” Then you realize the machine was set to the wrong time zone… good feelings gone.

O yes, been there done that…

It’s the opposite for me. Our PCs always come set to Pacific time for some reason, so I’m like “10 AM?! Oh wait… no… time for lunch. Sweeeet.”

Damn you Microsoft and defaulting to Pacific!

GMT is a cruel mistress, unless if you’re in the UK then it’s gravy.

For me it’s more you glance down at the clock and see 3:45 and you’re like “crap! I ain’t gonna be able to finish setting up this new computer in time!” And then I remember to change the time zone and realize that “crap! There’s still a lot more to go before home time!”

Actually left work early one time because of it. Didn’t think to wonder why the parking lot was still full.

Oh wow hahah @jaunoflo that’s nuts. My PCs all come Central time and I’m on PST. Kind of odd but oh well. It’s such a real stab in the eye when you realize it though.

I really do hate that.

When I do that I put on really fast paced techno and jam out too make the day go by faster

I always know what time it is because I live for lunch and for the beer in my fridge at the end of the day. I always check the time zone settings before jumping to conclusions.

I completely understand those feels though bro. I got a call on my hotel room phone at 0610 last Friday. Thought it was my alarm until I looked at the time and realized it was an hour and 20 minutes too early.

Doh!

Yeah, like let’s not detect location settings and determine that you are most likely in Eastern. You get stuck in Pacific because we hate you.

I thought I was the only one!

That is one of the worst!

LOL!

Why can they not work this to be the other way around!

I’ve done that and when my manager called me to come back to the office I said I took my lunch and continued going home

Honestly? This has never happened to me…

Windows based PCs are 2 hours behind for me
