I have a Central Server Installation that I once had scan different subnets over the WAN, but then found it to take up too much bandwidth. I then installed a remote collector at each of the locations and now I am getting duplicate entries in Inventory. I did notice that when looking at the duplicates, there is one difference between them. I noticed that under details of a device it might say Central Server for the original scans, but then the duplicate will say “SiteA” or whatever I called the Remote Collector install. Is there a way to delete all the old ones that say Central Server on them at one time instead of deleting each one individually?

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

This sound like logical behaviour, after changing from the single point source of scanning information, which created database entries in Spiceworks for the remote devices, then implimenting Remote Collectors that gather their own database of device details and transport that to the central Spiceworks instance, that would create new database entries for those devices in the remote locations as they are now incremented or appended with a new source (Site A) in your example. This is demonstrated in your definition of the dfference in the duplicate entries.

What should be done now is remove the old (redundant/inacurate) records of the remote devices added previously when they were scanned by the central Spiceworks instance leaving only the now current records created by the remote collectors.

Once this is cleaned up your inventory should make a lot more sense.

I assume you have removed the records of the remote networks from the scan ranges on the central Spiceworks instance.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer
