Hi, Over the last 2 days some of my machines have not been connecting to the network drives. I’ve tried to refresh group policy and receive the following message in event viewer
The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to retrieve new Group Policy settings for this user or computer. Look in the details tab for error code and description. Windows will automatically retry this operation at the next refresh cycle. Computers joined to the domain must have proper name resolution and network connectivity to a domain controller for discovery of new Group Policy objects and settings. An event will be logged when Group Policy is successful.
when I look in details it says

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Also in event viewer on my machine I see the following
The system failed to register host (A or AAAA) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
with settings:
Adapter Name : {A0190112-5540-4B44-918C-91F9A1802831}
Host Name : IT0245
Primary Domain Suffix : domain.local
DNS server list :
192.168.0.3, 192.168.0.5
Sent update to server : <?>
IP Address(es) :
192.168.0.72
The reason the system could not register these RRs was because the DNS server contacted refused the update request. The reasons for this might be (a) you are not allowed to update the specified DNS domain name, or (b) because the DNS server authoritative for this name does not support the DNS dynamic update protocol.
To register the DNS host (A or AAAA) resource records using the specific DNS domain name and IP addresses for this adapter, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator.

weird that no one ever responded to this; are you still having the problem?
