Hi All

We are running Exchange 2007 with users accessing with OWA.

We currently have a self-certified SSL certificate, but want to put in a ‘proper’ certificate.

I’m a little confused as to what type of certificate we need.

Does anyone have any advice, and also can anyone recommend a good site for purchasing the certificate.

Many thanks

Leon

We use COMODO and they are very good…

comodo as well -

you’ll at least need a single server SSL cert. signed against the fully qualified domain name that you’ll be connecting against.

We also use Comodo

If you are part of a school or university then you can get SSL certificates free of charge through JANET (and/or your local LEA).

We did this for our Exchange Server (and Frog VLE Server) just a couple of weeks ago!

Just do a little Google research on “JANET SSL”.

we use Godaddy.com for our Exchange server, very easy and cheap. Also good guides on there how to install etc.

We also used GoDaddy. Painless and straightforward.

Godaddy here too, I am a cheapo, and they work just fine. You can get them for $12.99 per year USD…can’t beat that.

We use GoDaddy too. I’m not sure if it’s as straight forward as everyone says however. It seems like there’s an extra hoop to jump through with GoDaddy certs.

I don’t know if it’s best practice but I like to get the wildcard certificate so I can use it on all of my internet facing servers. One cert to rule them all?

Thanks for all your replies.

Think we’re going use GoDaddy and get a multi-domain cert, mostly because it’s cheap!!
