Im trying to setup external access to spiceworks via SSL. I know spiceworks comes with a self signed certfiicate however can anyone tell me how can I go about exporting that self signed certificate to use on another windows machine? Im using forefront tmg and im familiar with setting up the access rule on the firewall however I need to install the certificate on the tmg server. I do plan on getting a a cert from a CA at some point however for now id like to use the built in self signed one.

Thanks

Follow up to this…

So ive gone ahead and acquired a real cert from godaddy. Problem is I think im running into issue since the cert was issued using the public name for this sw install (helpdesk.mydomain.com) however internally my server has a totally different name.

Is there a way I can add an additional name to the cert? Its my understanding thats what UCC certs are for however im not sure I need that here.

Nevermind I figured it out.
