I wanted to move our discussion of the first meeting into the newly created SpiceCorps Seatttle group, seems more appropriate.
Seeing the responses from our other thread, I think we will just go ahead plan to have our first meeting at the RAM in Northgate. So that’s March 2nd at 5:30pm.
We have a possible sponsor for our first meeting, more to come.
Look forward to meeting you all.

Any topics planned for this first meeting? Am new to Spiceworks in general.
Just to confirm, the meeting is at 5:30pm and not 8:30pm like iCal is trying to set it?

Yeah, 5:30 Seattle time.
I’ll post suggested agenda and topics soon. I’m sure it’ll be a lot meeting people and finding our what’s their beer of choice.

Wish I could have made it. Next time hopefully. Maybe someone can recap for those that wanted to attend but couldn’t or the group as a whole?

I’ll recap a little, others are welcome to fill in the stuff I miss:
We met at the Ram in Northgate. They seated us around 5:45pm (maybe a better time slot for next time might be 6’ish). We had 13 people there. After about 15 minutes of meeting everyone we offically started the meeting. I introduced myself and my environment and then we went around the table and others did the same. It was loud in the resturant, so it was a little hard for people further away to hear everything. We then talked about some topics that people were intereseted in, I’ll post in a new thread. And then dicussed the next meeting. Of course in between all of this was talk of Spiceworks, what do you use it for, how have you tweaked it, things like that. We were lucky enough to have the “SpicePioneer” from Denver in town, so he was there as well. Thanks for the feedback and advice Grey!!
As far the next meeting goes, I plan to host it in a conference room at my work. This will give us access to a tv/computer and we can look at my spiceworks install and a much quieter environment to meet in. We will probably also have a sponsor for the second meeting.
Anyway the meeting ended at 7:30 and a handful of us stayed until 8:30 swapping IT stories and well you know what happens when you get a bunch of IT guys in a room, we talk tech, good stuff.
Thanks for all who showed up and those who didn’t I hope you can make the next meeting.
Todd
This is great Todd (and all the SpiceCorps of Seattle members)! So glad that you have a successful meeting! And looking forward to watching these grow in the future!

It was great to meet everyone. I had a pretty long drive from Tacoma, through rush hour, and I hope I was more coherent than I felt.
