I wish I had interns, i’d train them the same way I was trained. You’ll hate me for now but in a few years you’ll be very thankful for all the things I teach and how I teach them.

My first real day of working I was sent out for a keyboard that wasn’t working properly I brought it back and my boss Jeff said go grab the alcohol, pads and q tips, take it all apart and clean the hell out of it. Of which I did. Took a good hour at least, I took everythign apart and it was spotless when I was done, put it back together go show him and he says ok now throw it away we don’t do that stuff, go get a new one from the supply room…haha

We used to do this to guy we worked with all the time. He had a crappy car that was always breaking down. We told him it was muffler bearings and this and that. One day for lunch some of us went with him to the store and he had this terrible ride bouncing the front end all over the place. We told him he needed new shock absorbers and he completely refused to believe there was such a thing.

I guess we cried wolf too often for him.

PRK-E5’s too. that was always fun to send someone around the batallion looking for a “prick E-5”

We did have one come back and say I didn’t five a prick e-5 but I found a prick e-4 as he gave me the finger.

My buddy was in the Marines for a few years. When he was a private he was told to get some “ST1’s” from some guy. He was given a heavy box that was sealed up and set it down for his C.O. Who had him open it. There was a bunch of large rocks in there. My friend was really mad till his C.O. had him write out what he picked up. S T ones…
