Hey All, Since most of the Remote Access answers were real old, I decided to bring it up again. What are some of the best programs for Remot Access? Free, or even almost free? Thanks. Joe

What are you needing to do? What machines are you going to access and for what purpose?

While Splashtop isn’t free, Splashtop gives you the peace of mind with an enterprise-grade solution that’s affordable:

– secure (MFA, device authentication, encrypted sessions, logging, and automatically updated so you are always running the latest versions)

– reliable (our infrastructure scales across AWS, Google GCP, and Oracle OCI)

– high performance (capable of streaming video and audio as needed; zero lag… Disney, NBC, Discovery, BBC, etc. all use Splashtop for remote video editing)

– and affordable (for commercial use, you save at least 50% compared to LogMeIn, Teamviewer and other major vendors)

if you need Splashtop for personal use, Splashtop Personal is just $16.99 per year. You enjoy all the same secure, reliable, and high performance features.
For commercial use, Splashtop Business Access starts at $60 per year ($5 per month). Millions of users and hundreds of thousands of businesses large and small are customers.

We are most proud of our customer commitment and service. 3rd party G2 survey of users has found Splashtop NPS at 93, industry-leading number. Please give Splashtop a free test drive.

Remote Desktop works great and is free. More info here:

I also really like Fixme.IT (thanks @dimforest ). It’s really cheap for what we use it for and works great.

There are some free options out there still but for the most part, if you want anything even remotely worthwhile, you’re going to want to spend a tiny bit. I really do mean a TINY BIT though as most of the adequate solutions out there are dirt cheap. Like @big-green-man mentioned, I’m a huge fan of fixme.it and have used it for both work and personal use for the better part of the last couple years.
I would HIGHLY suggest checking it out to see if it meets your needs. You will see a lot of TeamViewer clones out there and they can get pretty pricey. FixMe.IT does everything you’ll need it to do for less. Also, it works so much better. It’s far less clunky and doesn’t have any unnecessary frills to jack the price tag up.

QuickAssist for Windows 10 user support is free and fairly reliable - I’ve only seen it crap out on shaky low bandwidth connections, where anything else would probably fail as well.

Zoho Assist is a great low cost option.

Quick Assist built in to Windows 10 works very well too. However, there are limitations if you need to enter admin credentials when making changes to the end user’s PC.

Check out Pulseway Remote Access Software ! We do have a free version for up to 2 systems and a Business (Team Plan) Version that gives you access to Patch Management, Powerful Automation, Reporting, Unlimited Remote Control, and much more.

Being from Zoho, I would recommend two products for it.

ZOHO ASSIST more of a remote support software

MANAGEENGINE REMOTE ACCESS PLUS more of a remote access software.

Thanks for the shoutout again @michael9595

Cheers!
