This week i have been mostly listening to:

Dj Hype - Drum and Bass Essentials 2009

Hey Davy, have you ever listened to Souncore.net? They used to broadcast over bassdrive.com, but their site has been static and they are off the air. Just wondering if anyone knew what happened.

Been listening to a lot of Talvin Singh, too Asian Underground in general.

Today has been Metal Friday… Disturbed, System Of a Down, Ill Nino, Korn, etc… have a station of all this stuff on www.last.fm… it’s free internet radio. GREAT stuff!!

nope ive never listened to Soundcore.net - i used to listen to bassdrive a little while back though. I used to run an internet radio station for a while, we used to have a studio so everything was live rather then pre recorded. good fun but an awful lot of work!

Friday’s always mean a good hour and a half drive home for me (only 30 miles!) - the M5 southbound is always clogged up with damned caravans and idiots in 4x4’s…

Therefore to keep my sanity, vent those frustrations and annoy those around me (windows down, volume up) I have a selection of 1990’s oldskool hardcore, some dirty filthy German speedcore (400bpm+ electronic trash noise) and a some super cheesy UK happy hardcore for when the mood needs a lift.

Jaya the cat - first beer of a new day (album)

Nice tunes when you get agrressive during the friday noon traffic jams.

Not so much a playlist, but loving Warrior’s Dance by The Prodigy this week!

Gotta love the gabber, ImbaAdmin!

Nick, Jaya the cat is more a mix of ska, reggae and punk. Most of the time when I hear this stuff I want to dance pogo with my car on the motorway and kick all this nerving bastards off the street. Don´t know why I´m not doing it. Perhaps this afternoon. Have to try it…

Hmm… I do like a bit of Ska / Reggae … and I LOVE punk… especially as a lot of it has filtered down into the rave scene. Actually, I went to see The Beat the other week as they were playing the Thekla in Btistol. Really enjoyed that… though it was strange being in amongst all these 40yr old+ skinheads with their red boots and bleached jeans!

Maybe I should nominate the entire works of Kraftwerk as my ‘Friday playlist’. I just can’t get enough of that bleepy 70’s techno!

I put together a playlist including a lot of those tunes here Free Music | Listen to Music Online | Grommit64 - Blip.fm

Makes for an interesting day’s listening.

Yeah. I agree. Kraftwerk is great. The band is from a town not far away from mine.

But if you like punk, you should give it a try and listen to “Mistake” from Jaya the cat, Nick.

Knife Fight - Deftones.

Also good workout music.

Friday again

And: until May, 15th you can download the new Coldplay Live Album from their website for FREE.
