As fellow techies, we all have our favorite go to show that we can escape. My personal favorite show this year has been none other than Game of Thrones! The final season has dragons, some of my favorite characters (shout out to all of the Arya and Brienne fans!), and more occurring in Winterfell.

The final season is reaching it’s peak, and I have to ask… How are you celebrating the final season? Watch parties? With coworkers? On the road? We want to hear from you, Spiceheads!

My wife and I love the show, but we are holding off on watching this season until the last week. I don’t want to pay for more than a month of HBO, so we’re just waiting until the end, then we’ll watch the whole season on-demand. Lol. Avoiding spoilers is a b***h.

I’m the only one that watches it in my house so I watch it and then text some friends to talk about what happened.

This is a great idea to Legally watch the show and not subscribe for months to only watch one show on HBO’s service.

It works, and it means that I don’t have to wait until it gets released to buy on either physical media or digital. However, it really is a pain to avoid spoilers. In a way, this makes the fact that the season is only 6 episodes long a good thing.

Mostly it’s just one of my co-workers and I that watch it from our houses.

I was VERY happy about last night’s episode! I felt like the first two were dragging a bit, but I know it was important for them to set the stage. I’m really excited to see where they take things for the next three episodes of the season.

Watch parties… is it bad I go mainly for the food??? For instance, last night the group I watched with grilled out… burgers, corn on the cob, chips, drinks!!!

I read the books but haven’t ever watched the series. The only thing I’m interested in is how Cersei dies, I’m alright with that spoiler

We do watch parties, but can’t go too crazy as it airs at 2 am in the UK :weary:

Last night’s ep was insane! Arya is MVP!

Deliberate troll is deliberate.

I’m waiting for it to end then binge watch the entire season in one day.

I’m just trying to catch my breath from that last episode, honestly. Battle of Squinterfell was badass.

Also, we have a GOT group that everybody should join:

Nothing much planned but might get a tattoo

Not to give too much away as I am sure there are some people who haven’t yet seen Episode 3 but I thought it was a bit of a let down, more than anything due to the fact that it was so dark I had to turn the brightness up on my TV to watch it!

Also, was there actually a point in having John Snow in the episode?

I found it pretty entertaining that of the four most bad-ass characters in this latest episode, three of them had no cojones.

(I’m counting Lyanna, Theon, Jon, and Arya here, each in their final “confrontation” with an enemy.)

You could start your HBO tomorrow and catch it all in May as there’s only three episodes left and finishes May 19th.

Stupid short season…

The season is only 6 episodes long, so that’s literally 2 months of HBO Now or go.

I’m so confused by this comment? I won’t elaborate so as to not spoil anything, but 3 of the 4 were badass.

I think I know what you’re alluding to, but I think what Jon does at about the 10-second mark of this video was pretty badass.

(quickly removed the video because even the title of it had huge spoilers.)

OK, that thing that John does as his last act of the battle.

I thought that was bad-ass.
