I just created a GPO (just sets a USER administrative template setting to manage wall paper. My questions not about the setting).

Let’s just call it MYGPO

My user object is in an OU. I have the GPO linked to this OU. It is enabled and enforced. The security filter removed AUTHENTICATED USERS.

The user object has a security filter to allow my AD USER account.

When I run GPUPDATE /Force and then GPRESULT /R, the GPO never shows as having applied.

When I check my APPLICATION LOG, there’s no warnings about the GPO NOT applying.

I can’t figure out what I may be doing wrong. Also, fwiw, I don’t know our SYSVOL replication interval, but I don’t think this is the issue. Maybe. Not sure.

driving me nuts. Been working on this for an hour and a half. Just trying to get the GPO to apply before I continue making the GPO Edits I need for the specific settings I’m trying to build.

(BTW, this is all modelled on a testing OU where my user/computer are the only objects). The security filter with my username is just incase someone else accidentally links the OU elsehwer. I don’t want it to apply to AUTHENTICATED USERS or EVERYONE. Just me.

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

Give Domain Computer Read rights on the Delegation Tab. In short since you removed Auth Users (which includes domain users and domain computers) you have to give the computer the right to see the GPO so it can apply to the uses.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer
