The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \*\SysVol*\Policies{B0EBEE4F-25A9-43DF-9579-0D5923A265A5}\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:
a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.
b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).
c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.

Hello, can someone assist me what should I do with this error ? it happened months ago. All computers under the same domain giving the same results.

5 Spice ups

Each GPO has a unique identifier. If you open up GPM then go down to the group policy objects, if you highlight each one, then on the right you will see several tabs. One is named Details. If you go there you will see each GPO’s unique ID. Find the one matching the error and see what it’s for and if you even still need it. You could try removing and re-adding it as well.

How many DCs do you have?

While it’s possible the GPO is bad, it’s also possible that there’s a replication issue and the DC the client authenticated with does not have the policy available to apply (which is B on the list of resolutions offered.)

If you have more than 1 DC, running DCDIAG might shed some light on the problem

First browse to that file through the network and make sure it is there.

i often use adreplstatus to get replication and ad health information when working on these types of issues it can be downloaded from microsoft.

if the file is not there, check replication and verify all is good.
