Hi,<\/p>\n
I am getting following error when i issue Gpupdate /force command. Can anybody let me know how to resolve this?.<\/p>\n
Computer Policy update has completed successfully.<\/p>\n
User Policy could not be updated successfully. The following errors were encountered:<\/p>\n
The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows attempted to read the file \\TERI.RES.IN\\sysvol\\TERI.RES.IN\\Policies{A387E0FE-1A64-41B1-B745-91C8EC0B42F3}\\gpt.ini from a domain controller and was not successful. Group Policy settings may not be applied until this event is resolved. This issue may be transient and could be caused by one or more of the following:<\/p>\n
a) Name Resolution/Network Connectivity to the current domain controller.<\/p>\n
b) File Replication Service Latency (a file created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller).<\/p>\n
c) The Distributed File System (DFS) client has been disabled.<\/p>\n
To diagnose the failure, review the event log or run GPRESULT /H GPReport.html from the command line to access information about Group Policy results.<\/p>\n

Have you checked the results of the GPReport.html file? The most likely explanation is that one or more of your DCs are not replicating - and so the files related to the offending GPO, are not appearing on all the DCs where the GPO could be referenced.<\/p>\n
There’s a few potentials as to why this may have happened, but the fixes in each case are relatively straight forward.
