I am leaning toward making this an open group on Spiceworks. It would not require permission to join and anyone can comment or view posts. Please vote and comment with any questions or concerns. I’m hoping this will generate more activity in the group.

Agreed, some people on here probably don’t even know that this a private section.

Why are the other categories closed off and require permission?

When I created the group there was only the option to make it private. I recently received a message from one of the Spiceworks employees asking if we want to make the group public/open. They have to change it on the back end, but suggested we post about it first to get input from others and give people the chance to change or remove posts if they desire first.
