Hi, friends!! As some of you may know, I’m working on completing some Computer Networking courses at HACC and I would like to get some equipment to play with at home. Lab time in class is not enough! I will look on Craigslist and EBay but I thought about all of you and the wealth of talent at my fingertips. Maybe one or two of you has a spare switch and router or a layer 3 switch that I could borrow for a few months? I will pay a cash deposit and I will take care of the equipment like it was mine. I will pick-up and deliver, too.
We have been setting up VLANs, trunking and routing and since these are new concepts, I would really like to continue to learn and play around on my own, at home. Ideally the equipment would be Cisco but a beggar can’t be choosy.
Please message me if your willing to part with equipment for a short period of time, for the sake of my learning
Glenn- when is the next tech meeting? Guess what I’m bringing

Andrea,
I can answer the next tech meeting question. It should be Saturday, March 5th. The rules for that group are as follow, it meets the first Saturday of the odd months unless it’s a holiday weekend, in which case it’s the following Saturday. By way of example, the January meeting was on the 9th because New Year’s Day fell on Friday and the 2nd was the first Saturday. July’s meeting will most likely be on the 9th, since the 4th is on Monday, meaning the 2nd is part of the holiday weekend.
But to be on the safe side, you should check with either Glenn or myself because occasionally the host changes the meeting date due to personal obligations.

I just got a cisco asa from ebay… just make sure you look at the appliance. This particular asa has a special powerbrick it needs. It didn’t come with one.

Did you get your equipment? I’m going to be pulling an ASA and some other Cisco gear out of our closed Lehigh Valley site. I just don’t know when I’m going. We’ve been swamped at work.
I have some on loan but if you think of me when this time comes, I will be forever grateful!
