We’ve been using the ‘legacy’ on-prem 7.5 Help Desk and Inventory for a while now. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen an update to this version, which is somewhat disturbing from an IT and lifespan perspective.<\/p>\n
I have been looking at installing the Help Desk Server, but my manager wants to know what the differences and advantages/disadvantages of the two are. I couldn’t find anything that directly addressed the on-prem legacy vs. Help Desk Server.<\/p>\n
Can anybody direct me to a “This is what’s different” list?<\/p>\n
We did look at the cloud version, but we have CJIS sensitive data and Spiceworks does not support encrypted data at rest, so it’s not an option for us.<\/p>\n
