Howdy,

I haven’t seen any information on any future updates for the on-prem help desk and I’m just wondering if it’s officially dead and only the cloud version will be supported going forward? The cloud version is missing some key features I need (sub-categories) which are preventing me from using it. Just trying to figure out if I need to start looking around for a replacement or if the on-prem version will still get updates going forward.

If anyone knows for sure, let me know.

There should be some update soon.

Not sure, but ours was getting slow and having issues that support couldn’t solve without a fresh install and migrating existing tickets over. We’ve since gone with another solution but are still using Spiceworks for inventory.

They can’t figure out how to make the on-prem work faster with the current setup and more than likely needs to rebuilt from the ground up. That being said all the other tools they have released are cloud-based, and haven’t heard anything about on-prem in a long long time.

There is a thread about this. they have gone back to square one to do a ground up rebuild of both on prem and the cloud helpdesk so that both will work from the same code base (instead of being separate code bases) and to try and solve the performance issues
