You want to close your account?! That’s very unfortunate. If you’re having problems getting something done in Spiceworks, we encourage you to go to the Spiceworks Support area. There are many people here eager to help you out.

But, if you’re still looking to close your account, you have a few options.

  1. Reach out to the Community Team via community@spiceworks.com.
  2. Use our DSAR (Data Subject Access Request) portal and select the ‘Delete My Information’ option.
  3. If you’re simply looking to update your email address or change your password, simply visit our accounts portal.

If you’re using one of our products or services, such as the Spiceworks Cloud Help Desk, we recommend reaching out to us first via community@spiceworks.com.

Update:

But if you’re sure you want to have your account removed and completely anonymized (note, this is non-recoverable), option #2 will get this accomplished.

I would like to opt to never have my account deleted. Instead I would prefer to have it preserved so our future AI overlords can somehow memorialize my accomplishments recorded here. A pyramid perhaps, maybe even just one of those serpent mound thingy’s in Southern Ohio… And by accomplishments I mean that big ass doughnut I ate one time. If the Spiceworks Youtube goes away, so does my legacy. #PreserveYerAccount

Another thing it is important to know here is that deleting your account here won’t free up the email so you can start over. We see a lot of Cloud Help Desk (CHD) users who want to do that because the accounts are tied together. So, in case you want to start over in CHD, please write to support@spiceworks.com.

We’ve also seen people who just want their username changed, or something specific in a post removed, which are both quick fixes. If you need either of those things done, just email community@spiceworks.com and we’ll get it taken care of.
