Ver 6 Inventory was running on a weekly basis with few issue telling me my changes making it easy to go through all the Town’s PC and clean out any issues my users may have installed inadvertently. The new 7 seems to broken it with few options to ignore devices which are things like SCADA devices I do not want scanned or passwords loaded into Spiceworks. Old device deleted in version 6 showed up again. The older Spiceworks was a godsend with weekly reports of new installed software each week.

We have been having this same headache for weeks since upgrading to version 7. We are now on version 7.0.01308 with no improvements.

Devices do not scan properly. New software does not show up on the weekly reports.

It seems the scans are pretty much broken.

I really hope that Spiceworks resolves this. We relied heavily on the inventories. Everything worked great with version 6, and we are very much regretting updating.

I wish the programmers had spent more time on making 7 work instead of all of the funny saying and descriptions.

Does anyone know if the highest v6 version is still out there to re-download?

We are at the point where we need to roll back to v6 as v7 is nearly useless. Scans are a complete train wreck in v7 - support does not have a time-frame as to if/when there will be a fix.

I agree V.H., it would have been a cute novelty if everything was working, but it appears that cute trumped core functionality (on a major version release no less). Now I just find the sayings completely irritating as I now have a nearly useless piece of software.

Hi even more rescan each one does’nt update

and even the restore version failed so Im stuck in 7

And guess what!! yes ! yes! Last week the main server stop one service because the disk is full!

and i didnt recieved a mail !

I m considerin to delete important servers for resaearching

In order to fix my scanning problems I had to delete all the equipment and start from scratch. I was sort of upset seeing that note are all gone.
