Earlier this year at CES Jim Johnson, Intel’s Senior VP of the Client Computing Group announced a couple of new features for Intel vPro. After the “Blue Friday” incident from last year, many IT teams have been searching for ways to remote manage their fleets with confidence. Intel vPro users realized they had the ability to mitigate the effects of the outage and perform much needed management without touching the devices physically.
During the keynote presentation, Jim pointed out that Intel vPro can now be installed on the cloud which removes the need for an on-prem host. Along with the location change, management tasks can be applied to fleet devices at a ratio of one-to-many instead of just one-to-one. This will definitely make updates and security changes easier to execute!
