We have 1300+ devices spread across multiple subnets. The only commonality is the AD they connect too.

Can Inventory use the computer list from AD to discover devices or do we need to manually enter each subnet to allow discovery of our devices.

Devices will be a mixture of workstations, printers and servers.

Spiceworks can pull users from AD, but not machines.

For that level you’re better off splitting the scanning into a separate box (remote collector) or more than 1 and using that to do the scans, leaving the central machine to do just the collation and reporting.

Note that a soft limit of about 1200 devices is the recommended, after this point you are likely to see performance issues, so scan only what you need to
