I have noticed no updates since March of 2017 for v7.5 and v8 has been in beta for a long time. Is there an ETA for the release of 8? Used to see weekly updates.

From what I gathered at the Conference, v8 is on track and they are making some improvements.

I’m happy about there not being updates because I was one minor version behind and was too lazy to upgrade, and the timer started and forced me to upgrade. Multiple attempts to in place upgrade failed, so I had to migrate my database to a new install. I had take time out of my day/weekend to do that. No version updates adding mandatory work to my load? Great!

Also, you know that no company publicly discloses their product release plans. That’s not how it works. There’s no sense in releasing news so early that reality can’t meet expectation, and deadlines get pushed, and people complain. There’s only ever news when the finish line is in sight.

v8 contains a complete rewrite of the inventory subsystem which is why it’s taking so long.
