Anybody else having a problem accessing the Community from within Spiceworks? I select Community > Discussion Groups and get sent to an “Oops” page.

If I go directly to the community and sign in, everything works fine. Just cannot get to it from within Spiceworks.

Try clearing your browser cache and try again. Happens once in a while.

Not having an issue like that but the community seems to be running slower than normal. Probably my PC needs CCleaner ran and /or rebooted!

I’ve had issues where when I try to access the community I get redirected to the community login page which then redirects me to my local spiceworks login.

I’m seems to just fix itself sometimes but flushing your browsers cache and dns could help.

Cleared browser cache, flushed DNS, then ran CCleaner - still get the Oops. Weird.

FF, IE, Chrome, and Safari go to Oops page.

Opera actually takes me to the Discussion Groups page, but I’m not signed in.

I changed gateways (different provider) also to see if my main FW was doing something weird - no effect.

Try restarting spiceworks

Restarting didn’t work - neither did running the latest update/install.

Open a ticket with Spiceworks Support!

How do I do that? Never done that before.

Send an email to support@spiceworks.com

Yeah I found that - sorry. Thought there might have been a way from the Community site to send it. I have an open ticket with them so I’ll see what they say.

Just an update - SW is looking into this. There was an update applied to the Community section last Thursday and they are wondering if that is it. Once I get the fix I’ll update here.

Ok here’s the info. No fix yet, but the developers have figured it out. I had too many links in the IT Tools menu (15). I’ve reduced the links to 9 and I can connect just fine. It seems the cookie is being overloaded with info when the IT Tools section is too big, which causes the server error.
