I am looking for a pricing template that has at least 3 levels and explains what each level includes. Anyone use something like this?

I guess I would need more specifics. Do you mean something like monthly service levels to offer your clients?

What do you do?

What do your clients typically pay for?

I can immediately think of two ways I have used a three-tier billing system in my business.

are you looking for three levels of support…

  • hourly
  • monthly
  • pre-purchased time blocks

or are you looking for pricing by technician…

  • help desk technician
  • Level 2 server/network support
  • Engineering / Architecture services

or something totally different?

I am thinking of pricing per pc monthly cost. but billing annually

not sure why or how you would bill annually…

I could see billing monthly for annual costs broken down into monthly payments but it will be difficult to get a company to pay you a year in advance to do anything and harder yet to bill for something you did 11 months ago, not to mention that you will be floating a year worth of work and expenses… hope you have a large bank account.

I wouldn’t be behind. They would be paying in advance and in contract

typically this has been done with a monthly billing cycle in my world… accountants don’t like lump sums. smile

yeah I am dealing with Doctors offices. They want yearly of course.

One consideration is if they decide to go with someone else during the year, are you prepared to return their money (assuming it has a provision for that in your contract)? Be your own devil’s advocate and think of ways this could go bad, and make sure those things are covered in your contract, and have that contract reviewed by a good lawyer. It shouldn’t cost very much and will go a long way to protecting you and your business.
