there are already many sites other that specialize in that. The Spiceworks community is more focused on the everyday IT pro vs security specialist.

yea i know that … but the thing is people are more interactive and better experienced and helpful … spicework should really consider adding that security onto here…
for example i need help with some security thing now … i cant find a proper forum to help me whereas i always find someone here to aid me with my IT problems
you’re always welcome to ask and post topics as long as they follow community guidelines. We may not all have the experience to help out, but you never know until you ask.

CVE issues are normally around patch the thing…what other support do you need?

i need support testing an exploit
Its a specialty thing.
That isn’t what SW Community does best, and at this point it would be like reinventing the wheel.

yep, this is not the right place for that, even though some of us have that knowledge, we will not post it here, too much liability for us and SW. This type of info falls into a grey area that I believe is against the community guidelines as it can also be used for evil and would be moderated out. That said sites like exploit-db and youtube are likely to be full of the information that you are looking for.

Agree. “Red Team” stuff is pretty far outside the needs of this community. The activity in this section is almost exclusively around keeping our stuff safe; Blue Team activity.
