I have had some crazy stuff go on lately (biggest being a SharePoint crash, where I had zero knowledge of the product). Even if no one has the exact answer I need to fix the issue, I want to just say thank you to all you SpiceHeads. Even if the answer isn’t there, to me at least, getting some kind of feedback to get me thinking is a MAJOR comfort. In this world of IT that is ever-changing, where we always deal with a moving targets, where our clients/customers never truly appreciate or understand what we actually do behind the scenes, I am glad that I have you all as my “army”. Thank you all for what you do, stay active in the community, and keep fighting the good fight!

We have the best job in the world…

The Spiceworks community has helped me in so many ways too, and not just solving my own problems. By keeping an eye out on topics that I’m interested in and reading through them, I have a vast (and experienced - the experience of first-hand knowledge shared is better than any textbooks) knowledge base at my disposal. And of course there’s the humour that only us IT guys would appreciate, as well as some stress-relief by showing us that we’re not alone out there, and the user is among us all, ever-present and trying to throw spanners in our battle for a smooth-running server room.

Sometimes the greatest tool is just having someone else to bounce ideas off of! The community has saved me so many times, whether directly (having my questions answered) or indirectly (reading a post on something I am working on). I don’t know what most of us would do with out the support of the SW community!
