Hi SpiceWorksWorld :slight_smile:

I was wondering if there were any cheaper alternates out there for Kaspersky TotalSpace? We currently have under 80 users and using the above but it’s a bit heavy weight for us and i’m sure i’ve seen/heard of a better product that is also much cheaper?

I’ve heard good things about ESET??

Please please take my advice and dont go for eset its the worst AV product ive come across and i have used all sortes, symantec / mcafee / kapsersky / sophos etc, i am literally within 10 minutes removing eset from my network and rolling out sophos endpoint.

Eset has the worst most un users freindly interface ive come across and their tech support is even worse all they seem to do is point you to KB articles to read !

Sophos was a good option for me and very cost effective, i also rate kaspersky but i know it can be quite adminiterative and a heavy load on the system.

Eset is actually ranked quite far below from a score sheet point of view

Oh really? I heard it was a good alternate? What is Sophos like? Is it processor hungry ?

The search for the best AV has been discussed many times. Check out the thread, http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/335907-looking-for-a-good-comparison-of-enterprise-antivirus , then check out the “best answer”. The guy is from Eset but he does list some links that may you help find a suitable replacement.
