I have a work cubical that from time to time the computer (Dell OptiPlex 3020) will get a chronic perpetual “E%” keys stuck while typing and it will not release. Even if you reboot the computer and the login screen appears the stuck keys will continue to scroll keys in the login dialog and prevent you from logging in. The stuck keys are always the E and % and they alternately are displayed as sticky keys indefinitely until the computer is rebooted.

I have replaced keyboards, unplugged USB attached peripherals (printers, label printers, scanner) and have even replaced the computer two times. (all computers are the same model Dell OptiPlex 3020). The problem only occurs at this workstation. Power has been checked by an electrician, UPS has been replaced. Problem also appears to be random, can’t find what sets it off… I’m at a loss…Any ideas from anyone

Are they all part of the same batch? Is there a newer BIOS or chipset driver update?

The machines were all purchased at the same time. I will have to check on the BIOS and Chipset driver updates.
