So over the last two weeks I’ve realized I need to get a backpack style laptop bag for when I have to travel to our remote locations. I don’t know if it was because of the eclipse or I’ve just been extra forgetful but I’ve some how managed to forget either patch cables, charger, or some common tool that I’ve needed while working.
I plan to just keep common items in it like cables, a small toolkit, and laptop in it so I can just grab and go when I need, and with a little extra room to add items as the task dictates.
Found this one on Amazon and liked the added USB port for charging from a power bank on the side, but wanted to see if the Spiceheads had a go to bag that you prefer for work.
*Edited to add not looking for anything really expensive, just something that gets the job done.

This Case Logic backpack is my daily driver:

It has a lot of internal pockets for SSDs, patch cords, your tablet, laptop, everything you could need! It has been with me for the last 5 years and still looks pretty new! It has some foam pads so it’s not painful for your back after many hours of use
I recommend it, very spacious and Nice!

I was in the same boat 2 months ago. I decided on the Targus Grid ( Laptop Backpacks | Limited Lifetime Warranty | Targus ). I somehow managed to get it dirt cheap on eBay for ~£17 but they have gone up since. But i chose this bag as it has a laptop pouch fixed to the bag itself which is raised from the bottom of the bag meaning if you drop your bag, your laptop wont smash to the ground. Plenty of front pockets for your usual tools and cables, nice and padded, nice travel pocket which sits around your lower back to keep any valuables safe - looks good too.
If you hunt around you can get them at a good price. However it is definately a work bag. You wouldn’t easily fit much in the way of clothes for more than a night or two.

I got this bag a few months ago and really love it. It’s water resistant, has a large laptop sleeve, has plenty of space and pockets, and it’s pretty cheap.

I have a Victorinox Swiss Backpack…High quality and very durable; wonderful for travel, holds at least 2 laptops plus chargers, cables, lots of pockets, fits well and is padded on the back. The one that I have even allows me to keep my laptop in the bag and zip/fold it open when going through TSA checkpoints in the USA. I don’t even need to pull the laptop out…LOVE IT!

I got this awesome CoolBELL 18-inch Laptop bag when I got my new gaming laptop since my previous laptop bag just wasn’t big enough for an 18-inch laptop. I’ve loved it; plenty of space for large laptop plus charger, and pockets inside for cables and accessories.
And only $60!

I have the bag you linked! I like it pretty well. It’s got a decent amount of storage, the USB charging is useful (when I remember to attach my power bank), and it looks really nice for the price!
I was previously using a tote bag with a laptop compartment (probably not relevant as men are more prevalent on spiceworks) and I just had to switch to something different before I caused myself too much shoulder/back pain.

I just ordered it this morning! Has it held up pretty well aka zippers not busted? I think the bag looks really nice just the price-quality ratio has me a little worried.
I can understand the shoulder/back pain I used to use a over the shoulder bag and it just became to much of an issue to hassle with.
I’ve had it for a few months and it’s holding up just fine! I have a tiny issue with a loose thread on the outside pocket but it’s not a big deal and doesn’t really affect anything. I use it 5 days a week and open/close it a few times a day.
