My 3 year old daughter has a Flytouch Superpad 3, the resistive touch on this thing is terrible. I have herd it is the worst and that other tablets are much better. I got to looking at the Pandigital and Sylvania 7 inch tablets, they are still resistive, but the complaints on the screens are minimal. both are less then 60 bucks shipped. we want something that is responsive, small and cheap, she will get a nicer unit in a few years for school. any thoughts?

7 Spice ups

I dont know about shipping to the US but www.tabtoob.com has a really durable case that we use here with all the SEN kids. They bounce really well which is good and the material comes out that far the screen wont break either unless she punches it

Plus cheaper than a new tablet aswell if that could solve the issues

Over the years, I’ve generally found Vtech stuff to be excellent.

found this on Amazon.

I don’t have children of my own, but I do have nieces and nephews and grandkids, and being an IT person, I usually buy them computer - learning stuff.

Leapfrog stuff is good too.

It’s not exactly cheap, but the Nabi is quite nice. It also has a “Mommy mode” that allows a grown-up to use it as a fully functional Android tablet.

Check it out.

I had actually gotten one for my 6-year-old for Christmas, but he was used to using my iPad & wasn’t a fan of the Android interface. However, if she’s used to the Android OS, this might be a good one to check out.

durability is not so much a concern anymore, we have taught her to be careful with the fly touch, she is really pretty good with it. At the same time though, i don’t really want to spend more then than 70 bucks on one. the capacitive touch screen is the biggest hang up for me. i want the damn thing to respond lol. I was jsut thinking, i have my old HTC desire, great phone except the power button is going out and it is small. I could give that to her, but i think a 7 inch unit would be better.

i am not sure which ones are good but I would not recommend the Asus transformer tf101… the prime may be tougher but at $500 the transformer was not a practical toy.

agreed…

A co-worker just pointed out the NOVO 7 to me
