I have an extremely old copier which I need to setup for a temporary satellite office. I’m having a difficult time getting it to properly work on the document server side, i.e. sending scans via email. Regardless, what I am looking for is a way to do a master reset to the way it came from the factory oh so many years ago. Anyone with any knowledge who could assist would be greatly appreciated. I have the manuals for the device, but nothing appears to point me in the correct direction; and besides, I’m looking for the things that they don’t put in manuals.

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

the only answer i have come across is to have a RICOH tech come and reset the SDRAM, whatever that may be. The only thing I know for sure is that the error message has to do with fax services.

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

The only way I know of for sure is an NVRAM replacement. Some fo the Ricoh techs have a unit for flashing these copiers, but I think you have to be an authorized servicer to even get one.

I have not found a way to restore defaults through the menu system.

{"@type":"Person
pchiodo
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/pchiodo"}},{"@type":"Answer

it should be in a manual, but not in a user manual, search for an adminstrator manual.

and we have also this scanner, it can scan to fax, but not to email, so looking for the settings could take some time. are u sure that scan to mail is supported?

{"@type":"Person
antoonbarents4378
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/antoonbarents4378"}},{"@type":"Answer

Thank you for your replies, I will have to search for one of the admin manuals. The scan to email function is enabled for this device which surprised me as well as I had not seen it in this unit, at least not when it is a RICOH product; the copier itself is labeled Gestetner DSm735, which I found odd.

{"@type":"Person
thomasguillem5249
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/thomasguillem5249"}}]}}
