Hi everyone,
Microsoft is removing the BYPASSNRO command from Windows so I’ll be forced to adding a Microsoft account during OS setup.

Is there a question?
How about a source for your statement? This has been a concern for several years now but Microsoft has always left a way to use a local account.

I saw several articles on this late last month, but I couldn’t find any specifics on whether it was all versions of Windows, or just Home, or what. Aggravating…

There is a YouTube video that Chris Titus Tech made on the “alternative” workaround for the local account. You can still hit “Shift + F10” and then use start ms-cxh:localonly
.
Edit: fixed typo

One of the things I’ve found is that using “oobe /bypasnro” no longer works on the latest versions of 11.
However, if you use “cd oobe” and then in the OOBE directory, enter “bypassnro” works as before

There was a previous discussion covering all of the above 9 days ago here: Microsoft removing bypassnro script in Win11
“oobe /bypassnro” was never the command.
it’s: “oobe\bypassnro”
backslash, not forward. No space.

yep - either way, it doesn’t work in the newer versions of Win 11.
Have to change directories, then run the executable.
Don’t get me started on Home S mode…
