setup a new instance of spiceworks and only a few of my knowledge base articles are available. Suggestions?

Did you connect the new instance to your community profile, or did you use a new profile? KB articles are hosted in the Spiceworks cloud/community and rely on those credentials.

Then you should be able to go to your KB from the new install and then hit your tab for private KBs and make them available on the new instance. Otherwise, send an email to support@spiceworks.com and they can release the older KBs to the new instance.
